Tournament Handbook - Contests

Hit the Green - Players who enter receive three raffle tickets. If your shot stays on the green you win a Special prize. If all members of your team enter and win, the team is guaranteed a 10 foot putt and is entered into a special raffle.

Straightest Drive - A rope or line is placed down the center of the fairway, the closest to the line is the winner. A combination of long drive and straight drive is done when a person subtracts the distance they are from the line for a overall distance/accuracy drive. Marker with leader names are placed at the current winning mark. Players can see that they have to beat to win.

Target Drive - A target is placed in the fairway, useally on a par 5 about 200 yards. Players have an option to go for the distance or go for the target. Closest to the target wins. Targets also include bunkers, water lines of lakes and weird landing areas.

Closest to the pin - On par 3's a marker is used to mark the closest ball to the hole. If the next group has a player(s) who get closer they move the marker and mark their name on the leader board. Divisions are usually not necessary but can include Men, Women and over 50 and under 50 are popular divisions or different flights.

Longest Putt - On a big green or a green that has different levels, a marker is placed for the current golfer who makes a putt. Hard to use on scrambles.

Circle bet on par three - Place a circle 10-20 feet in circumference around the pin. Any ball in that area wins.

Red White and Blue Birdie Hole - Three pins are used on this par 3 hole, red, white and blue. Player has the option to play to any hole location. Birdies win a prize.

Hit the Fairway - Players who enter receive three raffle tickets. If your shot stays in the fairway you win a Special prize. If all members of your team enter and win, the team is guaranteed a 300yd drive and is entered into a special raffle.

Even Money, 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 on par 3 - Bet between $10 and $40- players who enter receive three raffle tickets. Shot stays on the green you win even money Ball stays in the circle you win 2x your bet. If all members of your team enter and win, the team is guaranteed a 10 foot putt and is entered into a special raffle.

Beat the Pro - Players who enter receive three raffle tickets. If any of your shots beats the Pro you win a Special prize. If all members of your team enter and win, the team is guaranteed a 10 foot putt or a 300 yard drive and is entered into a special raffle. Can be used on par 3 and long driving holes.

Team Skins - $50 entry per team, 50% to the Fundraiser. 50% to pay off skins as cash. Skins are awarded for low gross. Cash amount per skin based on total entries and total number of skins won. (If 20 teams enter at $50/team, the pot is $1,000. $500 to the fundraiser, and $500 to the pot. If there are 2 skins, each skin will pay $250)

Long Drive - A marker is placed in the fairway if a persons ball beats the current long drive off the tee. Names are written in the sign as a current leader board. Men, Women and over 50 and under 50 are popular divisions or different flights.
