The University of Iowa Intramural Golf Championship had 34 two-person teams compete at Finkbine Golf Course. We had 29 student teams and 5 Faculty/Staff/Alumni teams. The Student Division and Overall Tournament Champions were Cory Gusland and Zach Leonard who shot a 6-under, 66. Three student teams tied for second place with a score of 5-under, 67; Alex Mortensen/Matt Johnson, Tyler Lutenegger/Nick Ohde, and David Jeong/Daniel Jeong. The Faculty/Staff/Alumni Division was won by Henry and Gloria Hoffman with a score of 2-under, 70. Two F/S/A teams tied for 2nd place in their division, Andre and Karin Boezart and Mark and David Whiting, each shot a 1-over, 73. The tournament was following by lunch and numerous door prizes. Our putting contest winner, Josh Guffey, was the only one to make all three 9’ putts. His attempt at the 60’ putt was firm enough, but just inches to the right of the hole. We had numerous positive comments by our participants.
