Event Details: The winding drive up Wildcat Canyon Road 30 miles east of San Diego is a tip-off: You've left civilization behind and entered the Wild West.. A firm, fast track that encourages bump-and-run shots, Barona has very slick greens. So slick, in fact, that visitor Notah Begay III pronounced Barona's greens faster than those at most PGA Tour venues. The course offers enticing risk-reward scenarios throughout, along with commanding views of the valley from the topmost holes.
